OELWEIN - Lois Nadine Kraft Borland, formerly of Oelwein, died Friday, July 29, after a long illness of Diabetes and Alzheimers.
She was born June 18, 1922 in Scott. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Gertrude Kraft of Oelwein and a son, Peter John
of Bosque Farms, N.M.
She graduated from Oelwein High School and later from Cook's Secretarial School. She worked for Rath Packing Company in Waterloo
and Chicago Great Western Railroad in Oelwein. She married Harry C. Borland on Nov. 28,1945 and moved to Albuquerque, N.M. in 1951.
She later moved to Bosque Farms, M.N. in 1966. She worked for New Mexico State University Extension Service and New Mexico State University Agricultural Science Center in Los Lunas, N.M. She also was active in 4-H work.
She is survived by her husband, Harry; three daughters, Nadine Engel of Barstow, Calif, Nancy J. Borland and Noreen J. Borland, both of Los
Lunas; one sister, Helen Shelton of Alice, Tex. seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Nancy E. Lauck of Oelwein; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were today, Aug. 2, at the Palm Chapel of Strongand A.M. and the Order of Eastern Star Oelwein Chapter #45.
