OELWEIN -- Agnes Martha Veach, 92, of Oelwein, died Friday, Sept. 21, at the Oelwein Health Care Center, Oelwein, of complications from Alzheimer's disease.

She was born Sept. 23, 1914, in Clyde, Mo., daughter of John and Mary Meyers Holtman. She married Eugene Lawrence Veach Sept. 24, 1937, in Conception Junction, Mo. He preceded her in death March 11, 1992.

She worked for Dr. Boyles' office and at his home in Conception Junction. She was later a homemaker.

Survived by: five daughters, Elsie Lou Veach of Charles City, Jeannie (Pete) Kalb of Stanley, Evelyn (Duane) Meyer of Willmar, Minn., Betty (Bill) Cole of Ames and Marilyn (Ken) Adamson of Coralville; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Pauline Holtman of Conception Junction and Evelyn Blair of Kansas City, Mo.

Preceded in death by: three brothers, Lawrence, Raymond and Edward; and a sister, Loretta Brant.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, both in Oelwein. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, where there will be a 4 p.m. Catholic Daughters of the Americas rosary and a 7 p.m. parish Scripture service.

Memorial fund: has been established for Sacred Heart Catholic School and Oelwein Health Care Center.
