Harold Harford was born in Oelwein
July 16, 1887. His parents were Peter
and Fanny Harford. He received his
education in the Oelwein public schools.
On Sept. 7, 1911, Harold Harford
and Helen Topp were married at
Maynard. Their children are Glenn
W. Harford and Raymond Harford
both of Oelwein.
Mr. Harford was an employe of the
King and Preston Lumber Company
of Oelwein for 50 years. He
was a lifetime resident of the
community.
He died Dec. 1. 1961 and surviving
are his widow, his children
Glenn and Raymond Harford all
of Oelwein; and one sister, Estella
Brown, Minneapolis, Minn.
Funeral services were held from
Brant Funeral Home, Oelwein.
Monday, Dec. 4 with pastor Paul
C. Lutz officiating.
Mrs. Marvin Kiel and Mrs. Karl
Behrens, accompanied by Mrs. E. F.
Schuchmann at the organ, sang.
The casketbearers were Walter
Duehr, Aaron Zummak, Alden
Ward, Mike Frame. Alex Zimmerman
and Glen Borland. Interment
was made at Woodlawn Cemetery
