Mrs. Nellie Carpenter Snyder, formerly of Philadelphia, died at one o'clock this morning in Fairbank.
Mrs. Snyder has been in failing health for the last ten months and since April has been cared for by her sister, Mrs. H. E. Sanborn at whose home she died.
Mrs. Snyder has made her home in Oelwein for the last six years, since she brought the body of her husband, Dr. J. C. Snyder home for burial.
As a member of the Christian Church Mrs. Snyder was active in it's organizations in Oelwein, as well as being a member of the D.A.R. and acted as Junior Red Cross chairman here.
She is survived by one brother and seven sisters, one of whom is Mrs. Ben B. Little of this city.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at the Hintz Funeral Home in Oelwein. Burial will be in the Oran Cemetery.
