Friends of the family will regret to learn that Miss Lila Crofoot, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Crofoot, formerly residing just southeast of town but now living northeast of Stanley, died Tuesday morning, from the effects of an abcess in her side. The funeral services were held yesterday in the Union church at Stanley.

The funeral of Miss Lila Crofoot took place last week Wednesday from the Union church, conducted by Rev. A. C. Zabriskie. The body was interred in the Oswego cemetery by the side of a sister. Miss Lila was 16 years old and four months of age and was ill less than a week. She was esteemed, admired and respected by all who knew her by her pleasant lady like ways. The family have the sympathy of a large circle of friends.
