Death of Mrs. W. I. Myers

Jessie M. Murray was born in Fremont township, August 28, 1871. There in the home of her father, G. M. Murray, she grew to womanhood, and on January 1, 1889 she was married to W. I. Myers. They went to housekeeping in their own home in Oran township and lived there until about four years ago. For a time they lived elsewhere and then in Minnesota and moved to Oelwein last May. All the time she has resided here she was in poor health and she died at her house, 613 First Avenue South, Thursday evening, November 24th. Saturday afternoon the funeral servicess were held in the Methodist Episcopal church by Rev. J. R. A. Hanner. the pastor and the body was laid to rest in the family lot in the Oran Cemetery. To Mr. and Mrs. Myers were born five children, only one now living with the husband and father to mourn the loss.
