Matilda Triem

Funeral Services for Matilda Triem were held Sunday, May 26, at 1:30 p.m. at the Clermont Funeral Chapel in Clermont. The Reverend Tom Parrot officiated. Burial was in God's Acres Cemetery at Clermont. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements.

Matilda Elizabeth Triem, daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth (Hunsberger) Conner, was born March 15, 1893 at Platte, SD. She died Thursday evening, May 23, 1985 at Community Memorial Hospital in Postville.

Matilda attended a rural school near Elgin. She was married to Ralph C. Triem and they were parents of 2 sons. They lived all of their life in Clermont.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, in 1967, a granddaughter, Georgia Triem, 3 brothers, Milo, Ben and Dow and 4 sisters, May, Maude, Leila and Lavica.

Surviving are 2 sons, James and his wife, Marjorie, of Cedar Rapids, Harold and his wife, Sharon, of Postville, 2 grandchildren, Fayne and David, and 3 great grandchildren, Brett, Mark and Elizabeth, a brother, James Conner of Milford and a sister, Winnefred Olson of Guttenberg.

Casket bearers were Lowell Lyngaas, John Shipton, Marvin Larson, Brett Szabo, Mark Szabo and David Triem.
