Funeral services for Larry Wayne Flack, 16, of Clermont, were held Saturday morning, April 17, at 10 o'clock at the Methodist church in Monona with Rev. Paul V. Clements of Monona and Rev. Lee Roy Collins of Clermont officiating.

The body lay in state at the church from 9 o'clock until the time of the services. Burial was in the Clermont City cemetery.

Larry Wayne was killed instantly Wednesday morning, April 14, when the car he was riding in with Gary Miller, 17, driven by Miller, was hit broadside by a Hawkeye Stages bus just south of the Valley school. Gary Miller was also killed.

Both were from Clermont and were students at Valley Community High school.

He was born the son of Wayne and Ethel, nee Kurth, Flack, April 24, 1948, at Waukon. He was baptized by Rev. R. J. Strandjord June 13 [or 18], 1948, at the Lutheran church in Gunder and was confirmed May 20, 1960 at the Methodist church in Volney, by Rev. E. Wayne Hilmer.

He was a member of the Science club and the Explorer Scouts and the Junior class of Valley High school.

Preceding him in death were his grandfathers, Vern Flack and Gottfried Kurth.
