OMAHA, Neb. - Stacy E. Williams, 66, of Omaha, Neb. and formerly of Oelwein, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006 at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha, after a brief illness.

Funeral services are 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2006 at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein with the Rev. Darwin Moore officiating. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein.

Stacy Eleanor Williams was born Dec. 22, 1939 at Iowa City, the daughter of Raymond Oscar and Ethel Eleanor (Howard) Williams. She joined her two older sisters, Mary Alice and Rae Jean. She was later joined by another sister, Coral Mae. The family moved to Mill Valley, Calif., where their father, Raymond, worked in the shipyards. After World War II, Raymond took a job with the Chicago Great Western Railroad in Oelwein. Stacy was five years old when they moved to Oelwein where she was raised with her sisters at the Grace United Methodist Church in Oelwein and she later graduated from Oelwein High School in 1959. She worked for Spurgeon's in Oelwein and then Cherry Burrel and Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids. Stacy moved to Des Moines and started work for the Chicago Great Western Railroad, it was later merged with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad and then merged with the Union Pacific Railroad. During her railroad work she moved from Des Moines to Boone to Chicago, and then to Omaha, where she retired in 2003.

Stacy is survived by her two sisters, Mary Williams Colvin of Fontana, Calif. and Coral (Norman) Robinson of Oelwein; nieces, Connie (Rick) Kaufman of Central City,Ginger (Bob) Nakatonie of Las Vegas, Karen (Dave) Parry of Fontana, Calif., Marilyn (Michael) Muench of Brooks, Ky., Vickey Reinert of Oelwein, Cathy (Cliff) Thornton of Des Moines, Lisa (Mark) Olson of Madisonville, Tenn.; nephews, Jeffrey Robinson of Oelwein, Thomas (Alicia) Robinson of Marion, Brett (Gina) Robinson of Decorah and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Rayola Jane and Rae Jean.
