Leaford Elton Wilson, aged 40 years, 7 months and 24 days, died at his home in the third ward, Thursday afternoon, November 25th, after an illness of several weeks. Deceased was born in Fayette County, Iowa, April 1, 1857. November 18, 1877, he was united in marriage to Orinda Cole. To them were born six children, all of whom, with his wife, survive him. The funeral services were held at the Methodist church Saturday afternoon, being conducted by Rev. Triem, deceased being a member of that church. The text used was from Eccles 7-1 - "A good name is better than precious ointment, and the day of of death than the day of one's birth." The interment was in the Oran Cemetery.
