At the home of the bride in this city
last Wednesday evening occurred the
marriage of Henry Kappes to Miss
Gertie Hanson, Rev,. A. R. Toothacre
officiating. Only a few of the immediate
relatives of the high contracting
parties were present, and after the
ceremony a bountiful repast was served.
Mr. and Mrs. Kappes will soon
go to housekeeping in this city. The
groom is in the employ of the C. G. W.
Railway at the roundhouse, and is
well and favorably known as a young
man of good habits and strict integrity.
The bride has been educated in
the city schools, and is a young lady
who stands high in the estimation of
many friends. The congratulations of
many Oelwein citizens, including The
Register publishers, are extended to
Mr. and Mrs. Kappes with wishes for
their prosperity and happiness.
