CANNELL - SORGE WEDDING

On Thursday evening, December 14, 1911, occurred a very pretty wedding when Alma, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.B. Cannell, was united in marriage to Louis F. Sorge in the presence of 184 friends and relatives. At the appointed hour Miss Flossie Cannell, sister of the bride played Lohengrin Wedding March and the bride and groom took their places beneath a large white bell decorated with tinsel and ferns.

Rev. E. Schroeder performed the ceremony. The bride was attired in blue taffeta silk and carried white pink carnations, while the groom wore blue. The bride is a popular young lady of this neighborhood, having grown to womanhood here.

She was a great church worker and taught a Sunday School Class for years. She is in every way fitted to be the helpmate of the man whom she has chosen as her partner for life. While the groom has not lived among us so long yet he has been here long enough for people to get acquainted with him and know that he posses the qualities that succeed in life. The young people received many handsome and useful presents, among them being cut glass, linen, china, silverware, furniture and a large sum of money.
