PASSING OF ADOLPH FAUSER
Adolph Fauser was born in Fayette county, Iowa, December 29, 1861. He early learned the lesson of industry, honesty and economy, which gave him the best start that any boy can have in the battle of life; and by the application of these principles acquired a good farm and a comfortable home.
On April 6, 1884, he was united in marriage to Miss Ida Hamrick. Six children were born to them, one girl and five boys, all of whom are living. Beside his own immediate family he leaves two sisters, one brother and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his sad taking away.
Mr. Fauser has had poor health for some time but it was not thought that the end was so near. The end came on Wednesday, August 3, after intense suffering. Post mortem examination disclosed enlargement of the heart.
Mr. Fauser was a good husband, a kind and loving father and an accommodating neighbor. He was loved and respected by all who knew him and his death is felt by the entire neighborhood. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all who know them.
The funeral service was conducted at the home Friday afternoon by Rev. D. M. Parker. The remains were laid in Grand view cemetery.
A precious one from us is gone,
A voice we loved is still:
A place is vacant in our home
That never can be tilled.
He has left his earthly dwelling.
His troubles all are o'er—
Dear Father we hope to meet again
On the bright and beautiful shore.
He gathered them all around him—
The ones he loved so dear—
And gave to each a parting word,
For he knew the end was near.
We've, looked on his face for the last time.
We've bid him a last farewell:
But in memory he'll ever linger
Of the many who loved him well.
Farewell dear husband and father
Till we meet in realms of love.
We know the Savior is coming soon,
To take us home above.
A FRIEND.
