HALLIMAN, BROWNELL

At 5 o'clock Monday morning the
marriage of Mr. Francis Halliman and
Miss Sarah Brownell took place at the
Sacred Heart church, Rev. P. S. O'-
Connor officiating at the solemn high
mass. The early service was early in
order that the young couple might
catch the morning train over the C.
G. W. for St. Paul where they took
a train for Montana points where they
will pass some weeks before returning
to Oelwein which will be their
home.
The bride was attired in a white
suit while the groom wore the conventional
black and following the impressive
service which took place in
the presence of the immediate relatives
of the high contracting parties
the bride and groom and the wedding
party was driven to the home of
the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. G.
W. Brownell on Second Ave. E. where
an elaborate wedding breakfast was
served before Mr. and Mrs. Hallinan
started on their wedding trip.
Both of these young people have
grown up in this city where they are
well and favorably known. The bride
was educated in the public schools,
including some years in the high
school, while the groom, who is a son
of John Hallinan, was educated in
the public school and the Sacred
Heart school. He is employed by the
C. G. W. as a machinist. The mutual
friends extend congratulations and
well wishes and will extend them a
cordial welcome on their return from
the northwest.
