A Double Wedding - Oelwein Register, October 7, 1887
On Wednesday, October 7, 1887, at the residence of the brides parents, Frank H. Kerwin to Stella Mettlin and Albert O. Brownell to Emma Mettlin. Rev. A. McMilian officiating.
The brides are well known in the community, as ladies of exceptional worth and superior accomplishments, which have attached to them many friends who join in extending to them their best wishes for a prosperous welfare and a happy union. The grooms also, are well known in this vicinity as young men of integrity, and moral habits. Mr. Kerwin is a brother of our citizen, J. H. Kerwin. and makes his home in Wyoming T., where he will go with his bride to live. Mr. Brownell is engaged in farming near Oelwein.
