Teague, James, farmer, Section 31 (Oran township); PO Fairbanks; born in Gloucestershire, England in 1821; located in Pennsylvania, Jan. 5, 1851, and in this county in 1855. He married Miss Susan Thomas in 1841; she was born in Monmouthshire, England, in 1818; they have eight children --- John, born Jan. 12, 1843 (enlisted in the Sixth I. V. C. and served three years during the rebellion); Alice S., born Sept. 7, 1847; William J., born Feb. 4, 1849, (he enlisted in the three months call for troops by President Lincoln); Lydia E., born Jan. 23, 1851; Thomas, born Dec. 18, 1853; George W., born May 16, 1857; Frederick H., born Dec. 23, 1858; Annie F., born Sept. 23, 1861. Are members of the Episcopal Church. He has been School Director seven terms. He owned 262 acres of land, which he has sold to his son; it is worth $25 per acre.
