Miner, William S., farmer, Section 17; PO Sumner; owns 168 acres of land, valued at $20 per acre; born in Rutland Co., Vermont in 1820. Married Laura Wescott in 1840; she was born in New York in 1819; have two children --- William E. and Fitch M.; Solon W. died at the age of 23. Mr. M. came to Iowa in 1874 and located in Banks Township.
