Wade, William T., farmer, Section 7; PO Sumner; owns 210 acres of land, valued at $20 per acre; born in Essex Co., New Jersey in 1818. Married Agnes C. Williams in 1845; she was born in Essex Co., New Jersey; have four children --- Harriet, Hannah E., William L., Catherine A.; Alice and Agnes died. Came to Iowa in 1855, and located in Banks township, Fayette Co.; is one of the pioneers of the county. Mr. W. has held all the different town offices, is a member of the Presbyterian Church.
