Way, J. M., farmer, Section 18; PO Lawler, Chickasaw Co., Iowa; owns eighty acres of land, valued at $25 per acre; was born in Grand Isle Co., Vermont in 1835. Married Ellen Legrow in 1854; she died in 1864. Married again in 1865 to E. M. Shryver; she was born in Schenectady, New York in 1840; she has five children --- Eliza E., Sarah E., George H., Ellen M., and James F. Mrs. Way is a member of the Presbyterian Church.
