Lindsay, John, farmer, Section 3; PO Waucoma: born in Scotland in 1830. Married Jane Murray in 1862; she was born in Canada in 1845; have four children --- William A., Robert H., Leslie R. and Clayton B. Came from Scotland in 1851, with his father Alex, who settled in Illinois, where he lived until he came to this county in 1854, and settled on his present estate, which was partly Government land; has a farm of 141 acres, valued at $40 per acre. He has been Road Supervisor and Town Trustee, and was among the early settlers of this town and is well known.
