Hawley, George, blacksmith; PO Fayette; was born in Susquehanna Co., Pennsylvania, Nov. 27, 1842. Politics, Republican. Married Frances M. Weber; she was born in Herkimer, New York, Dec. 20, 1848. Left Pennsylvania when one year old; came to Rock Co., Wisconsin; lived there until 1866; came to Fayette Co., where he has resided since. Enlisted in 44th Regt, W. V. I. Co. I .
