DIETEL, John N., farmer, Sec. 22; P. O. West Union; born Jan. 7, 1830, in Germany; in 1848, came to Kendall Co., Ill.; in 1855, came to his present farm; owns 350 acres, valued at $20 per acre. Married Elizabeth Heinolt Dec. 26, 1852; she was born July 1, 1832, in Germany; have five children - Margaret, Helen, Annie, Samuel, and Edward. Are members of the Evangelical Association. Has been Town Trustee, School Director and President of the School Board.
