Studer, Frederick, farmer, Sections 27, 28, 33 and 34; PO Elgin; born in Switzerland, June 9, 1829; came to Clayton Co., Iowa in Feb. 1866; came to Pleasant Valley in 1867; owns 110 acres of land. He married Elizabeth Wahle in March, 1854; she was born in Switzerland Feb. 13, 1825; they have had seven children, and lost one daughter -- Elizabeth, who died in Aug. 1868, aged 5 months; the living are Frederick, born Feb. 13, 1854; John, born Feb. 11, 1856; Rudolph, born April 5, 1858; Lizzie, born June 12, 1859; Alexander, born Feb. 17, 1862 and Mary, born Nov. 13, 1867.
