Wohlheter, Valentine, dealer in dry goods, groceries and general merchandise; born in Alsace, France, August 21, 1838; came to DuPage, Illinois in 1857; came to Elgin, Iowa in June, 1866. Married Caroline Sorg Oct 20, 1868; she was born at Havre, France; they have two children -- Louis and Eugene.
