Perry, Nicholas, Jr., propr. St. Lucas Hotel, Section 7 (Auburn township); PO Old Mission; born in Germany in 1837; came to this country when a boy, with his father, Nicholas; first settled in Ozaukee Co., Wisconsin, where he lived sixteen years, and removed to LaSalle Co., Illinois, and resided until 1859; and came to this county and settled; has a fine hotel, and is Assistant Postmaster, his name having been sent in for promotion, as Postmaster; also has a stock of hardware, in connection with his business. Married Annie Robind, in 1867; they have five children --- Susie, Mary, Joseph, Catherine and Annie C.; both members of St. Lucas Catholic Church.
