PICKING UP THE LOOSE THINGS – An old citizen of West Union, Fayette County, named D. F. Ford, was suspected of picking up things and appropriating them to his own use lying around loose that did not belong to him, and on search being made, several carpenters tools, axes, spades, shovels, hoes, chains were found on his premises. Fearing that justice would be done, Ford left for parts unknown.
