Leonhart, Philip, farmer, Section 23 (Fairfield township); PO Brush Creek; owns eighty acres of land, valued at $2,000; born in Germany, Aug. 14, 1842; came to America in 1854, and to this county in the Fall of 1855. Married Kate Eckert Feb. 13, 1864; she was born in Germany, Nov. 15, 1840; their children are Mary, born Nov. 1, 1864; Fredricke, born Jan. 8, 1867; Ella, born Jan. 29, 1869; Michael, born Dec. 11, 1871; John, born Feb. 24, 1874; and Emma, born March 5, 1876. Republican.
