Dennis E Brosh, son of Wilbur and Ann (Mathison) Brosh, was born on September 12, 1949, in Sheldon, Iowa. He passed away on February 19, 2022 at the Veteran Affair’s Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 72.

Dennis attended Estherville Schools. In 1969 he joined the United States Army and served during the Vietnam Conflict, being honorably discharged in 1971. Upon returning to the Estherville are, he was employed in construction as a heavy equipment operator with local companies including Rohlin’s Construction, Hallett Materials, and Hodgman.

Dennis enjoyed playing cards, especially solitaire. He also enjoyed animals, his favorites being horses, fainting goats, and llamas. During his recent time at the VA Hospital in Sioux Falls he enjoyed playing BINGO, doing activities, and making crafts. Of those crafts he enjoyed making horses and sharing them with his fellow vets. Dennis will be fondly remembered by his family for his sense of humor and the jokes he would tell.

Dennis is survived by his daughters Lynette (David) Leinenweber of Butterfield, Minnesota and Bobbie (Travis) Harris of Emmetsburg, Iowa; his son, six grandchildren, and Linda Minton. He is also survived by his siblings Ivan (Mariene) Brosh of Estherville, Thelma Tiessen of McGregor, Minnesota, Mildred (Ron) Feger of Estherville, Marilyn Baas of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ardell Ehlers of Fairmont, Minnesota, and Sally (Don) Appel of Aiken, Minnesota.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Peggy Brosh, brothers Vernon, Clinton, and Clayton Brosh, sisters Edith Brosh and Thora Grostad, and brother-in-law David Ehlers.

A funeral service was held Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville with interment at East Side Cemetery, Estherville.
