Robert Clarence Eastman 1939-2022

Robert Clarence Eastman, son of Lloyd and Gladys (Manley) Eastman, was born on September 10, 1939 on the family farm in rural Armstrong, Iowa. He passed away on January 23, 2022 at Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong, Iowa at the age of 82 years.

Bob attended Armstrong School and then began farming with his parents. He continued to farm with his parents until they passed away. He lived on the family Century Farm until moving into Armstrong in 2013. He became a resident of Valley Vue Care Center in 2017, where he resided until his death.

Bob enjoyed the farm life and creating things. He enjoyed biking and would take bike trips all over, camping along the way. Bob even enjoyed fixing and building bikes, even three wheeled ones. He excelled in painting and drawing. Playing keyboard for family and friends was a favorite past-time of Bob's. Bob was a member of the United Methodist Church in Armstrong.

Robert is survived by his sister Iva (Donald) Mortensen of Fairmont, Minnesota and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Harlan, and his sisters Muriel Krough and Velma Yungeberg.

A funeral service was held Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the United Methodist church in Armstrong with interment at the Armstrong Grove Cemetery, Armstrong.
