Donna Jeanette Reinders 1938-2020

Donna Jeanette Reinders was born on August 9, 1938 near Cylinder, Iowa. Donna and her siblings were all adopted by Fred and Leona (Gibbons) Reinders, Sr. Donna passed away on December 15, 2020 at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville,Iowa at the age of 82 years.

Donna attended and graduated from Mallard, Iowa High School. She worked as a long distance phone operator and in an orphanage; before attending the University of Iowa, where she obtained her surgical technician degree. She worked as a surgical technician in Iowa City,Iowa, Fort Dodge,Iowa and Mason City,Iowa before moving to Estherville. Donna worked at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville for 27 years. Following her retirement she was a foster mom for many area children.

Donna was an active member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Estherville. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces, nephews, and church family.

Donna is survived by her sister-in-law Liz Reinders of Estherville, and many nieces and nephews.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings Jim Reinders, Fred Reinders, Jr and LaVonne Arends.

Private services will be held at a later date.
