Al Morales Sr., the son of Antonio and Aurora Morales, was born on October 30, 1953 in Mission, Texas. He died on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 67 years.

Al grew up in Texas before moving to Estherville, Iowa in 1971. On November 22, 1972 he was united in marriage to Micaela (Mickey) Ventura. The couple made their home in Estherville. Al worked at Pure Fishing in Spirit Lake, Iowa for nearly 25 years. In his spare time, Al enjoyed golfing, taking care of his dogs, and spending time with family.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville.

Left to cherish Al’s memory are a half-sister, Maria, his children, Al Jr. (wife Lisa), Lee (wife Jessica), Vic and his five grandchildren Alex, Austin, Isabel, Gabe, and Frankie.

He has been preceded in death by his wife, Mickey, his parents, half-brother, Luciano, and half-sisters, Hortencia and Dolores.

A private family ceremony will be held with Father Merlin Schrad of St. Patrick's Catholic church.
