Richard Allen Strong 1944-2020

Richard Allen Strong, son of Allen and Elna Strong, was born July 7, 1944 in Algona, Iowa. He died November 11, 2020 at the Southfield Wellness Nursing Home in Webster City, Iowa at the age of 76.

He grew up in Armstrong, Iowa and graduated from Armstrong Community High School. He then spent four years in the Air Force mainly stationed in New Mexico.

He worked several jobs, but really enjoyed cross county truck hauling until his health prevented it and he had to retire. He and his wife Diana moved to Texas.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Diana of Webster City, daughter Becky (James) Bjorkland of Clarion, Iowa, Ryan (Tara) Strong of Estherville,Iowa and Rod (Lacy) Strong of Armstrong.

Several grandchildren and great-grand children. Also twin brothers, Leroy (Carla) Strong of Armstrong and Leo (Anita) Strong of Edmond, Oklahoma, sister Mary (Vernon) Fries of Armstrong, and several nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife Cindy, twin infant grandaughters and a grandson.

He will be buried at a later date with a memorial service in Corpus Christi, Texas.
