Mark Douglas Mortimore of Columbus, Georgia, formerly of Estherville,Iowa passed away on Aug. 23, 2020, at Piedmont Hospital in Columbus, at the age of 66 years. He was born on Aug. 11, 1954, in Estherville to Warren B (Shorty) Mortimore and Donna (Brix) Mortimore.

Mark was raised in Estherville and attended Estherville High. On Dec. 10, 1985, he was united in marriage to Lisabeth Perrin in Clarksville, Tennessee. He was in the US Army from 1984-1991, serving three tours in Germany as well as other missions. When he and Lis were both out of the service, they settled in Columbus,where he worked at Swift Spinning for over 20 years.

Mark is survived by his wife Lisabeth of Columbus, his children Morgan (Cameron) Joyner of Wahiawa, Hawaii, Brett Mortimore of Estherville, Nikki Mortimore of West Des Moines,Iowa, Chris Mortimore of Spencer,Iowa and several grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother Donna (Brix) Mortimore of Estherville and his sisters Julie (Jim) Hansen of Sioux Falls, SD, Joleen Engebretson, and Lill Herum (Jeff Hughes) of Estherville.

He is preceded in death by his father, Warren B (Shorty) Mortimore, brother Garth (Butch) Mortimore and son Mark Mortimore Jr.
