Iris Ann Runge, the daughter of Edwin Johann and Mary Ellen (Reining) Gangestad was born on July 5, 1926 in Armstrong, Iowa. She died on Monday, June 8, 2020 at her home in Estherville, Iowa.

Iris was united in marriage to Adrian Runge. The couple made their home in Estherville. Iris owned and operated Runge's Beauty Salon in Estherville. She did hair well into her 80's. Doing hair was her passion, she loved it and all of her customers. Adrian died in 1997.

She was a member of United Methodist Church in Estherville.

Left to cherish Iris' memory are her son, Donald (Jean) Runge of Estherville; daughter, Patricia Vandenberg of Stewartville, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; Levi, Aaron, Todd, Ty, Phil, Jamey, and Tracey; and many great grandchildren.

She has been preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother Gerald Gangestad, and sister, Opal Masters.

The funeral service was held Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the Henry-Olson Funeral Home in Estherville with burial at East Side Cemetery in Estherville.
