Swea City – Graveside services for Ernest [Merrill] Erickson, 74, Miami Beach, Fla., and formerly of the Armstrong area, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Harrison Township Cemetery, Swea City.

Henry and Olson Funeral home, Estherville, is in charge of arrangements.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Erickson, he was born Jan. 7, 1906, at Boone and received his education in Swea City schools.

Mr. Erickson is survived by a sister-in-law, Ina Erickson, Estherville; and many nieces and nephews, including Wayne Christophel, Estherville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May, 1980)
