Armstrong Man, 65, Dies
A resident of Armstrong for the past 10 years, Bliss B. Morgan, 65, died Monday [October 21, 1957] afternoon at Balmer Rest Home here. He had been in failing health for several years and was a patient at the rest home for the past month.

Funeral services for Mr. Morgan will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church in Armstrong, the Rev. A.R. Orr officiating. Burial will be at Armstrong Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Morgan was born Feb. 21, 1892, the son of Mary A. and Fred J. Morgan, at Hinsdale, Ill., where he lived until his marriage to Harriet Matthew McBride, at that time a resident of Armstrong. The wedding took place in Chicago where the couple made their home until 1947 when they moved to Armstrong.

Survivors include his widow and two daughters, Mrs. Marian Thomas of Skokie, Ill., and Mrs. Paul Stebler of Dallas, Tex. Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. William Glegge of Hinsdale, Ill., and a brother, Dwight Morgan of Wheaton, Ill. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 23, 1957)
