Charles Kline, 58, Dies After Long Illness
Charles Kline, 58, a life-time resident of Estherville, died at noon today at the home of his mother, Mrs. L.A. Rhodes, 421 4th Ave. N. Mr. Kline has been in poor health for several years.

He is survived by his mother and two brothers, Frank Kline of Boise, Idaho, and Arthur Kline of Estherville. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral arrangements have not been announced as the family is waiting to hear from the brother at Boise.

Mr. Kline was born June 18, 1881, in Estherville, and worked many years for the Rock Island railroad as a freight clerk. Poor health forced him to retire several years ago. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 16, 1940)

Funeral of Charles Kline is Tomorrow
Services for Charles Kline, who died yesterday morning, will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at 2 p.m. at the Mahlum and Anderson chapel and at 2:30 p.m. at the Church of Christ. The Rev. Fred Sawyer will have charge. Burial will be in Eastside cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 17, 1940)

Funeral Services Saturday for Charles Kline
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Mahlum – Anderson Chapel for Charles Kline who passed away at his home last Thursday. The services were at the Christian church with the Rev. Fred Sawyer officiating. Burial was made in the East Side cemetery. Pallbearers were Art Espeset, Harold Steinman, Floyd Horton, Elza Sidles, Charles Jones and George Show. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, May 21, 1940)
