Armstrong – Services for Richard (Dick) D. [David] Edwards, 35, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Nazareth Lutheran Church with interment in Armstrong Grove Cemetery. Pastor Don Sarff will officiate. He died Tuesday [March 30, 1982] morning at his home in Armstrong.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Armstrong after 3 p.m. Wednesday.

He was born March 23, 1947 at Estherville, the son of Donald and Agnes (Weiby) Edwards and attended Armstrong Schools. He was married to Barbara J. Dahlke on Dec. 5, 1965 in Armstrong where he lived most of his life. He operated a grocery store in Armstrong from 1969-1979 and was presently employed at Harold’s Red Owl in Estherville. He was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church and was a Trustee; he was a member of the Armstrong Fire Department for 10 years and a member of the Army Reserve for 6 years.

Survivors include his wife Barbara; two sons: Donald David and Robert Lloyd and one daughter Pamela Jeanne, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Howard (Agnes) Blekfeld; three sisters: Mrs. Donald (Donna) Lilienthal, Quamba, Minn., Mrs. Steve (Patricia) Watt and Mrs. Scott (Deborah) Lytle both of Estherville; grandmothers: Mrs. Bertha Weiby, Armstrong and Mrs. Mabel Edwards, Ft. Dodge.
