Armstrong – Charles Emory [Emery] Carrithers, 77, Armstrong, died Sunday, Nov. 6, at Fairmont.

Services for Mr. Carrithers will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Armstrong, with the Rev. Travis Cannaday of the Armstrong United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will be in the Armstrong Grove Cemetery with military rites held at the cemetery.

Mr. Carrithers was born June 28, 1900, at Washburn, Ill, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Carrithers. He came to Armstrong with his parents as a young boy.

He was a farm laborer in the Armstrong area. He is a veteran of World War II and a member of the Armstrong Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Worshawsky, Morton Grove, Ill. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 8, 1977)
