Ex-Resident of Area Dies
Mrs. Jessie Sidles Myhre, 70, former Estherville resident, died at 4 p.m. yesterday in Arcadia, Calif. following a year-long illness.Services will be Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 2 p.m. at the Huntington Methodist Church, the Rev. Fred Ortmeyer officiating. Interment will be in the Dolliver cemetery. Sternborg-Reese Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Myhre was born Aug. 8, 1881, in Marengo, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ball. She was educated in Marengo schools. When a young girl she moved to Maple Hill with her parents. She was married to Jess Sidles at Maple Hill in 1907. He died in 1954. In 1956 she was married to Albert Myhre at Estherville. Mr. Myhre died in 1958. She moved to California to live with her son two years ago.
She was a member of the Huntington Methodist Church.
Mrs. Myhre is survived by one son, Leo Sidles of Arcadia, Calif. and one grandson. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Frank Rosburg of Dunnell and Mrs. Herman Rosburg of Braham, Minn., and one brother, Frank Ball of Grantsburg, Wisc.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three brothers and four sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 3, 1961)
