Leonard Kinnetz
Graettinger – Services for Leonard Ray Kinnetz, 46, Graettinger Methodist Church today with the Rev. George Brighton officiating. Interment was at Dolliver.

Mr. Kinnetz died Friday morning at his home in Graettinger following a six-year illness.

Born June 23, 1930, at Emmetsburg, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kinnetz, he received his education in rural Osgood schools. He was married to JoAnn Miller Feb. 25, 1956 at Emmetsburg.

Mr. Kinnetz was a lifetime resident of Palo Alto County, living in Graettinger the past 20 years. He was employed with Shaver Manufacturing Company for 10 years and with Palo Alto County for four years. He was unable to work the past six years due to health.

Survivors include his wife, Joann, Graettinger; three sons, David Kinnetz, Ringsted, Dennis Kinnetz, Estherville, and Mark Kinnetz, at home; two daughters, Penny Kinnetz and Lori Kinnetz, both at home; four brothers, Leo Kinnetz, Emmetsburg, Derwood Kinnetz, Ruthven, Elmer Kinnetz, Osgood, and Ronald Kinnetz, Eyota, Minn.; four sisters, Mrs. Ernest Myers, Whittemore, Mrs. Elvin Meyers, Whittmore, Mrs. Robert Rauhauser, Graettinger, and Mrs. Dale Flint, Emmetsburg; and his mother, Mrs. Viola Kinnetz, Graettinger. He was preceded in death by his father.

Fuhrman Funeral Home, Graettinger, was in charge of arrangements. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 9, 1977)
