Dolliver – Funeral services for Burton Ingval Johnson, 79, Dolliver, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dolliver United Methodist Church with the Rev. Travis Cannaday officiating and burial at the Dolliver Cemetery. He died Monday [February 16, 1976] evening at the Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Mr. Johnson was born Feb. 13, 1897 at Earlville, Ill. and educated in the Earlville schools. In 1920 he moved to the Dolliver area where he farmed until 1973 when he moved into Dolliver. He was married to Anna Moltzen at Jackson, Minn. Oct. 19, 1923. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Earlville and was a member of the Dolliver United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Howard, Estherville; two daughters, Mrs. Ward (LaVonne) Smith, Estherville; and Geraldine Johnson, Dolliver; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; and three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Gost, Earlville; Mrs. Adelaide Arnold and Mrs. Ray Meinke, Dixon, Ill. He was preceded in death by his wife Jan. 29, 1974.

Friends may call at the Furhman Funeral Home, Estherville, until 11 a.m. Thursday when the body will be taken to the church for services. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 18, 1976)
