Bert Wicks Final Rites Not Yet Set
Funeral services are pending at Fuhrman Funeral Home for Albert (Bert) Eves Weeks, 89, who died this morning at 1:50 at the Balmer Nursing Home.

He had been a resident at the home for the past four years. Death was attributed to complications of old age.

Albert Eves Wicks was born Oct. 4, 1875, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wicks at Adel. He received his education in Adel county schools.

He was married to Eda [Edna] Peterson at Montgomery, July 3, 1904. They farmed north of Estherville and later north of Dolliver for many years.

Mr. Wicks was preceded in death by his wife and is parents.

He is survived by two sons, Lyle of Dolliver and Alvie of Estherville; one daughter, Mrs. Elwin (Opal) Miller of Rapid City, S.D.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, one of whom was born yesterday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 16, 1965)
