Frances Olson Rites Will Be On Wednesday
Funeral services for Frances Winifred Olson [per gravestone: Francess] who died early yesterday morning at her home will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the Mahlum and Anderson chapel. The Rev. L.A. Mahtre, pastor of the Estherville Lutheran church will conduct the services and burial will be at the Lutheran cemetery.
Miss Olson who was 25 years old at the time of her death, has been an invalid most of her life. She is survived by her mother, three brothers and five sisters. Preceding her in death were three sisters and two brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 5, 1943)
Services for Frances Olson Held Wednesday
Frances Winifred Olson, 25, daughter of Mrs. J.C. Olson, died at 3 a.m. Monday at her motherís home. Bronchitis and complications were the cause of death. She had been an invalid since childhood.
She was unable to finish her school work at the Emmet county consolidated school because of poor health.
She had been an active member and was baptized in the Norwegian Lutheran church.
She is survived by her mother, three brothers, Glenn Olson of Estherville, Edwin Olson and Lewis Olson, who are farmers near Estherville and five sisters, Mrs. R.C. Hansen of Des Moines, Mrs. Martin Severson of Duncombe, Iowa, Mrs. B.J. Kenny of Jersey City, New Jersey, Mrs. Guy Howard of Pine City, MInn. and Mrs. A.P. Olmstead of Tucson, Arizona.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. yesterday at the Mahlum and Anderson chapel. The Rev. L.A. Mathre conducted the services and burial was at the Lutheran cemetery. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, January 7, 1943)
