C. Olson, 33, Dies; Services to Be Monday
Clarence Olson, 33, of Estherville, died yesterday at Cherokee.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Mahlum and Anderson funeral chapel with the Rev. L.A. Mathre of the Estherville Lutheran church officiating.

Burial will be in the Norwegian Lutheran cemetery north of Estherville. Olson is survived by his mother, Mrs. J.C. Olson, living on a farm northwest of Estherville; three brothers, Louis and Edwin, at home, and Glenn of Estherville; and seven sisters, Mrs. B.J. Kenney of Jersey City, N.J., Mrs. A.P. Olmsted of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. Guy Howard of Pine City, Minn., Mrs. Martin Severson of Duncombe, Ia., Mrs. R. C. Hansen of Fort Dodge, Mrs. Clifford Marcum of Sioux City, and Miss Francis Olson, at home.

The father died several years ago. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 25, 1939)

Funeral services for Clarence Olson were held on Monday from the Mahlum and Anderson funeral parlors. Mr. Olson died in Cherokee last Friday [August 25, 1939] and the remains were brought here from burial.

The deceased was 33 years of age and was born and reared in this city receiving his education in our public schools.

The services were officiated by the Rev. L.A. Mathre and interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery north of this city. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, August 31, 1939)
