Infant Son Dies at Local Hospital
Richard Allen McManness, infant son of Mr. and Mr. John McManness, died Sunday [April 27, 1930] morning at a local hospital, where he was ill for three days. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the house with the Rev. Frank Yearnd, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating. Richard Allen was born March 18, 1930 [per gravestone March 17]. He is survived by his parents, his twin brother, Robert Samuel, Anita, Eva, Olaf, Ruth, Stella and John Daniel. (Estherville News, Estherville, IA, May 1, 1930)
