Estherville – Services for Bertha Grinde, 96, were held Tuesday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Wiegman officiating. Interment was in Estherville Lutheran [Norwegian] Cemetery. She died Sunday, June 17, 1990 at Rosewood Manor Care Center.

She was born August 7, 1893 at Voss, Norway, the daughter of Andrus and Brita Rongve [Rognve]. She received her education in Norway and came to the United States as a young woman and settled in Emmet County. She worked at a laundry for a number of years and became a resident of Rosewood Manor in 1975. She was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two nephews: Severt Tindal, Winona, Minn. and Leonard Tindal, Washington, Ia.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 20, 1990)
