Saturday Rites Set for Knut Tangeros
Knut Tangeros, 86, died at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday [March 4, 1969] at Holy Family Hospital.

He was born Dec. 31, 1882, at Hardanger, Norway. He received his education in Norway and came to the United States as a young man.

On Sept. 17, 1910, he was married to Anna Wike of Estherville. They lived in Estherville, where Mr. Tangeros was employed by the Rock Island Railroad in the maintenance department. He retired in 1948.

He was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Leonard J. of Estherville; two granddaughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Ann) DeMoss of Estherville; and Mrs. Lorne (Linda) Turner of Grand Forks, N.D.; and three great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Estherville Lutheran Church, with burial in the Lutheran Cemetery. Rev. Stephen Engelstad will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Pete Geil, Walter Fransdal, John E. Wee, Harry Schriver, Carl Vogle, and Robert Plath.

Friends may call any time Friday at the Fuhrman Funeral Home. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 6, 1969)
