Death came this morning at four o’clock to Thor Sunde, a life long resident of the county. Mr. Sunde had been ill for over a year. He underwent an operation at Rochester in April of last year for a brain tumor. He has been at home since that time but his health seemed to be failing.

Mr. Sunde was well known in this vicinity. He held the respect of those who knew him. He was a kind and considerate Christian neighbor.

Mr. Sunde was born in Gardner Ill. on March 30, 1895. He came here with his parents when he was one year of age and has lived here the remainder of his life. He was united in marriage to Emma Valen Mar. 20, 1912. To this union three children were born, Mrs. Ernest Quam of Graettinger, and Evelyn and Archie at home. He is also survived by three brothers Tom and Nels of Estherville and Rev. L.O. Lund [Sunde] of Colorado Springs, and a sister, Mrs. Carl Shaw of this city.
