Estherville – Services for Bethany Dawn Kofoot, 16, will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastors Kermit Rye and Michael Kroona officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. She died Sunday, Nov.13, 1988 at her home.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Bethany was born March 1, 1972 at Osage, the daughter of Donald and Leone (Beyer) Kofoot and attended St. Ansgar School before moving to Estherville July 4, 1983; she was presently a junior at Estherville High School. She was a member of the Estherville High School Concert Band and Jazz Band; also a member of the Estherville High School golf team. She was employed by the City of Estherville as a lifeguard.

She was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church; Estherville Lutheran LYO where she served as the group’s treasurer.

Survivors include her parents Don and Lee Kofoot; two brothers: Brandon and Benjamin all of Estherville; maternal grandmother Mary Byer, St. Ansgar; paternal grandfather Ernest Kofoot, St. Ansgar; several aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather and paternal grandmother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 15, 1988)
